Daejeon proves itself again as a Science City, AFLAS 2022 in Daejeon
Daejeon International Marketing Enterprise(DIME) has revealed that Daejeon Metropolitan City has won the bids for the 10th AFLAS (Asia Federation of Laboratory Animal Science) 2022, and was successfully chosen as the hosting city by the AFLAS board of directors in the 8th AFLAS congress of Bangalor, India.
Daejeon accelerates itself to attract
more water-related congresses, EADC 2020 in Daejeon
On the ‘10th East Asia Dam Conference(EADC)’ held this November, Daejeon Metropolitan City was confirmed as the host for the 11th EADC, 2020. Daejeon International Marketing Enterprise(DIME) participated in the 10th EADC, accompanying the Korea National Committee on Large Dams(KNCOLD) and other Korean representatives. In the event, Mr. Kim, Bong-jae, vice president of KNCOLD made a congratulatory message for EADC 2018, along with the keynote lecture given by Dr. Yeom, Gyeong-taek. But the most important moment of EADC 2018 was Daejeon being confirmed as the venue for EADC 2020.
‘2018 IDF World Dairy Summit’ held in Daejeon
This October, ‘2018 IDF(International Dairy Foundation) World Dairy Summit’ concluded its four day schedule in IDF 2018 was held from Oct. 15th to 18th, under the phrase ‘Dairy for the Next Generation’. The event’s four days thrived with 500 guests from IDF’s 52 member nations visiting Daejeon, along with 1,000 nationwide participants.

2019, the ‘Visit Daejeon Year‘
The year 2019 is going to be an important one for Daejeon Metropolitan City as it celebrates the 70th year since its promotion to a “City” as well as the 30th year since its promotion to a “Metropolitan City.” On December 10, 2018, the declaration ceremony of “ 2019, the perfect year to visit Daejeon” took place at Four Seasons Hotel in Seoul. In this occasion, Daejeon International Marketing Enterprise (DIME) had a “Daejeon Tourism Talk,” “Celebratory Performance,” and “Promotional Booth Event.”
